Lewisburg Bible Church was founded in 1972 by the late Rev. Cleon Haight and a small group of believers from the Lewisburg area. The meetings were held in the Upholsters Hall in Lewisburg.
In 1976 land was purchased from Leon Dyer and a Church Building was erected.
In 2003 the facility was expanded to provide adequate foyer area, larger restrooms, class and office space. It also connected the education building to the sanctuary. We are delighted with the beautiful and functional facility the Lord has provided.
Rev. Roger Wenger and his wife Pearl are both graduates of Lancaster Bible College. They served with Youth for Christ for several years followed by 32 years of full-time pastoral ministry.
In 2001 they came to LBC on a part-time interim basis. Over the years they have become more and more involved in its ministry and though bi-vocational are a vital and integral part of LBC.
...Is global. We are actively involved in the support of Missions both at home and abroad. Our missionaries serve in numerous countries in a wide variety of ministries.
We are from the local and surrounding area and come from a variety of religious backgrounds. This is possible because we are an independent Bible-teaching, Christ-centered church with no ties to any denomination or convention.
